Hi, bookworms!

We hope yesterday’s special story time filled your imaginations and reminded you of a few beloved favorites - it certainly did for us!

Today, we’re turning that cozy feeling outward. Our ADVENTure is all about helping others by creating a small care package for someone who could use a little extra joy. You might choose a neighbor, a nursing home, a homeless shelter, an animal shelter, or anyone in your community who could use a smile.

Think about who your gift is for and what might brighten their day. Homemade cookies are always a hit (and dog treats for your furry neighbors count, too!). You could also include a puzzle or crossword enlarged for those with vision difficulties, a cheerful note, a bookmark, or something you loved from yesterday’s story time.

And when you deliver your care package, kindly ask if you can take a photo with the recipient. Share it with us on Facebook or Instagram - let’s see how many smiles we can spark together this season.
